For a client in the energy sector, we are looking for an Access DB Expert for a short assignment, Description:
The client has approx. 15 Access databases that have been created and administrated by various administrators over the last 10 years.
The client has decided to move the administration to their own department, but the databases have grown very complicated, so it is almost impossible to make sense of what has been done internally. Therefore, it is very difficult to make any changes.
We need help to determine how the databases are originally built, and to build new functions for automatic deletion and reporting purposes. If it turns out that building new databases is the easier and better choice, we will need help with this as well. We’re also looking to move our backend off the databases to SQL-servers.
The task is to develop an overview of the databases and assess if it makes sense to clean up the existing databases or build new. Clean up and/or building new databases will also be a part of the assignment.
In addition to this, we need assistance with migration of the databases to SQL servers. Requirements:
- Expert Access database development skills
- SQL server migration capabilities/experience
Min. 5 years of professional IT experience.
